Mead Details

Through the years, you develop many great friends at the tasting room.  Randy and Amanda are no exception. 

Randy came to us wanting to make a special mead for his and his wife’s 25th Silver Anniversary. One of Amanda’s favorite drinks to enjoy is a Mango Margarita. 

  This is a mango margarita-inspired mead, celebrating Randy & Amanda Barker’s 25th wedding anniversary.  Here’s to the next 25 and beyond!

We started this mead with Mexican Lemon blossom honey. From there, we added mango concentrate, lime juice, lime zest, and to top it off, we added tequila-soaked oak chips. 

A true mango margarita-inspired mead, through and through.  

The yeast we used was BC S103.

This mead was 5 months old before bottling.

This mead greets you with a lovely, honey-forward aroma accented by hints of mango and citrus, filling your senses right from the start. When you take your first sip, you’ll notice a bold citrus kick that’s reminiscent of enjoying a tangy margarita on a sunny boardwalk. It’s an intriguing blend that initially surprises the palate, with the mango subtly present at first. On the next taste, the mango becomes more prominent, bringing you back from the beach back to your surroundings. Every sip after that begins with the sweet, fruity mango and finishes with a lively lime zing that leaves you craving more.
