Mead details:

14% ABV

Melomel made with black currants,  black raspberries,  red raspberries,  blueberries, and apples and Kampot Cambodia Black Peppercorn. Using local wildflower honey from Dexter Michigan.

About the name:

Polyrhythmic is a rhythm that makes use of two or more different rhythms simultaneously.

Music has always been a huge passion of mine since my childhood.

I’ve consistently drawn inspiration directly from the music I know and love. And I’ve always said I have an ear for music. 😁

Two of my favorite drummers are considered Polyrhythmic drummers.

Carter Beauford (DMB) and Danny Carey (Tool) And If you’ve ever heard these guys play the drums, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The drums can stand alone as a beautiful masterpiece.   They tell a story I want to hear over and over again. Every time I listen I hear something new. Their rhythm is so complex and in-depth, yet never losing the timing.

So when I made this mead I knew exactly what the name should be.  There’s so much going on all at the same time, it’s absolutely Polyrhythmic.

Tasting notes:

So basically take Polyrhythmic’s description from below and add in some amazing rare black peppercorns. You’ll have a mead that’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.

It has a fruity black peppercorn spice on the nose right out of the gate. We aged this Polyrhythmic on a rare Black Peppercorn from Kampot Cambodia.

This mead is extra jammy with a very nice mild black pepper spice.  Super unique and super delicious.  We hope you’ll really enjoy this one as much as we do.

Regular Polyrhythmic Tasting Notes:

This mead is extra jammy. All these fruits combine to make an exciting excursion of a drinking experience. As you let all the fruit flavors travel through your mouth, it’s almost like you’re on the fruit farm, biting into each individual berry with every sip.

As the smooth and soft blueberry starts you off, you’ll then find yourself hitting cruise control riding out the middle section with the black and red raspberries. You think to yourself, these tannins are very nice. Kinda sweet, and kinda dry at the same time. Then POW!! The super tart black currants hit you right in the face, as you give a small pucker in the mouth. and smile to yourself thinking, yea baby.  As you think back upon your mead journey you then realize how the apple was almost like the glue, binding everything together in pure harmony.

Fruity, honey, magical harmony. A perfect complexity of a Polyrhythmic melody.
