3 took 3 different delicious ingredients and blended them to create…

 “3 Days”

Apple, Blueberry, and Raspberry.

We created this with the full intention of it becoming our first can of session-style draft carbonated mead.  

The yeast used was d47.

3 Days

This is a monumental milestone for Maniacal! Slight alliteration aside, I am personally delighted to give my thoughts on our first canned mead! The 3 Days is one of our Tasting Room exclusive draft meads, no more!

The nose starts with raspberry, followed by notes of the blueberry, but more of the blueberry skin, interestingly. Like I’ve noticed with many hydromels, the honey from the base mead is also peeking out under that sweet aroma of fruit!

Going in, it’s a light, refreshing rush of tart and sweet, followed by a cool and smooth finish of honey, accompanied by a new sensation for these tasting write-ups, carbonation bubbles! Each sip is easy, to the point, and again that perfect-for-the-summer refresher. The fruit’s tartness keeps it from being too sweet, and yet the honey keeps it from being too tart. Its low ABV and draft nature make it crushable, alongside its flavorful experiences. Be careful, folks… this is just the beginning!
